Melt the butter
Add the flour and mix well
Gradually add the warm milk, stirring constantly
Cook over low heat for about 8 minutes, or until the sauce thickens
Season to taste with salt and black pepper
Beat the egg yolks
Remove the sauce from the heat and whisk in the egg yolks and Parmesan cheese quickly and well
Pour over cooked pasta while still hot
Serve with 2 and 1/2 cups of the cheese sauce.
