Mix the three cups of sugar with the water and stir until dissolved
Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until a thick, syrupy consistency forms
Remove from heat and let cool
Add the eggs passed through a sieve, one at a time, stirring after each addition
Return to heat and stir constantly so they don't stick to the bottom of the pan
As soon as it boils, remove from heat and add the butter and salt
Stir vigorously
Serve decorated with cinnamon.
