Heat the milk, cornstarch, egg yolks, and 8 tablespoons of sugar over low heat, stirring constantly
Cook until thickened
Remove from heat and add 200 g of melted chocolate
Stir to combine and form a smooth cream
Let cool
Beat the whites until snowy with salt and gradually add the remaining confectioner's sugar
Beat until stiff peaks form
In a saucepan with boiling water, place the meringues in batches and cook for 6-7 minutes or until firm
Remove with a skimmer and drain on paper towels
Place the chocolate cream in a bowl and arrange the cooked meringues cold over it
Melt the remaining chocolate and decorate the meringues.
