2 cups of water

1 cup of grated cheddar cheese

Combine the water and salt in a saucepan
Achieve a rolling boil
Add the cornmeal and mix very well
Cook over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes or until the mixture loosens from the bottom and sides of the saucepan
Remove from heat
Add the grated cheese and mix well
Take the mixture by the spoonfuls and form small balls
Shape these balls into small charcoals with your palm
Fry in hot oil or fat for 2 to 3 minutes or until they are well browned
Drain on absorbent paper
Make about 48 fritters.
