1/2 cup of blackberries, seeded and chopped

1/2 cup of chopped almonds or hazelnuts
2 cups of all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Melt the butter or margarine in a bowl, then add the orange juice, grated orange peel, blackberries, sugar, egg, and almonds or hazelnuts
Mix well
In another part of the bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, active dry yeast, and salt
Add this mixture to the previous one and mix until combined
Pour the batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan and smooth the top
Bake at moderate heat (170°F) for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Let the cake cool before slicing and serving.
