1 tablet of active dry yeast for bread
1/2 cup warm milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine (100g)
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons salt
5 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup chopped peanuts
1 tablet of active dry yeast for bread

Preheat the oven to a moderate heat (200°F)
Mix yeast and sugar in warm milk
Melt butter or margarine in a saucepan, then add 1 1/2 cups of milk and salt
Let it cool slightly
Add yeast mixture to the melted butter mixture in a bowl
Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms
Plop the dough into a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size
Chop onions and peanuts
Add chopped onions and peanuts to the risen dough
Mix well
Plop the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, adding more flour as needed
Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape each part into a round pie crust
Place the pies onto greased baking sheets, cover with plastic wrap again, and let them rise in a warm place for 45 to 60 minutes
Bake at 375°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool completely before serving
Serve 4 pies.
