5 round cheese slices for sandwiching

Mix the meat mixture, salt, and pepper
Knead it until 5 round and flat meatballs are formed
Fry or grill them on both sides until they're browned
Cut the cheese slices in half, toast them, and place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each one
Top with a meatball
Melt the cheese under the broiler, place a cheese-topped meatball on each patty, add pickles, and top with the remaining patty half
Serves 5 people
Variations: Drizzle mustard on the beef patty and omit the cheese, or skip both cheese and pickles
Mix together 1 cup of chopped lettuce, 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise, and 1/2 teaspoon of mustard
Spread over the meatballs and serve with the beef patties
Place a grilled onion slice on top of the meat mixture
Remove the pickles and add 2 tablespoons of toasted sunflower seeds or chopped nuts.
