Peel the sweet potatoes and boil them in salted water for 20 minutes
Drain and let them dry slightly over low heat, still in the pot
Mash the hot sweet potatoes with a potato masher
Combine the ground walnuts, eggs, butter, salt, and black pepper to taste
With your hands, shape into small balls, about the size of a walnut
Place a half-walnut on top of each ball
Place them in a well-greased baking dish and bake at moderate heat (180°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown
