2 packets of baking powder (30g) for bread
1/2 cup of warm water
100g of butter
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
3/4 cup of hot milk
2 eggs
4 to 5 cups of wheat flour
2 packets of baking powder (30g) for bread
1/2 cup of warm water
100g of butter
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
3/4 cup of hot milk
2 eggs
4 to 5 cups of wheat flour
Place the bread starter in a small bowl
Add the warm water
In another bowl, combine the butter, salt, and sugar
Add the hot milk
Let it cool until it's lukewarm
Add the eggs that have been lightly beaten
Add the bread starter
Mix well
Gradually add the flour, mixing with a wooden spoon
Keep adding the flour gradually and mixing until you get a soft dough
(You may need to add more wheat flour.) Knead the dough on a floured surface for several minutes, passing some of the extra flour to your hands if necessary, until the dough comes away from them
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl
Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a protected area (not the oven) for 1 hour
Transfer to a lightly floured surface
Cut off small pieces of dough and shape into ropes about 30-40cm long
Fold the ends towards each other and cross them to form a lasso-like shape
Place in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between the little loaves
If desired, brush with egg yolk
Let it rise for another 45 minutes
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) until golden brown.
