2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups cooked and drained garbanzo beans (reserve some of the liquid)
1/2 cup tahini (available in cans at supermarkets or Middle Eastern grocery stores)
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
chopped parsley

Mash garlic well with salt and pepper
Add garbanzo beans, lemon juice, and tahini to a blender
Blend well
Remove from blender and combine mashed garlic; mix well
Serve on a plate and drizzle with olive oil
Sprinkle with chopped parsley
Serve with pita bread.
