For the filling

480g of strawberries
1/3 cup of sugar (60g)
1 box of fine crackers (180g)
80g of strawberries (for decoration)

Prepare the filling: in a mixing bowl, whip the cream with the vanilla extract until stiff peaks form (approximately 2 minutes). Reserve
In a medium-sized bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork
Join the sugar and mix well. Reserve
Coarsely break the crackers
In the bottom of a 20cm diameter serving dish, make a layer with half of the crackers
Cover with half of the reserved strawberries and, on top, spread half of the whipped cream reserved
Continue alternating the layers, finishing with a layer of cream
Decorate with strawberries all over the surface
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm (approximately 4 hours)
