1 large fish (can be cod, hake, etc.)
1/2 cup of olive oil
2 finely chopped onions
2 well-mashed cloves of garlic
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
1/4 to 1/2 cup of white wine, dry
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
lemon juice from 1 lemon

Clean the fish and remove scales, but leave it whole
Make a few cuts on top with a small sharp knife, in the direction of the fish's width
Spread 2/3 of the olive oil in the baking dish
Place a layer of half the onion and garlic on top of the olive oil
Put the fish in the prepared baking dish
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion, garlic, and remaining olive oil, breadcrumbs, and white wine
Bake in a hot oven, allowing 12 minutes per 1/2 pound
Just before serving, sprinkle the fish with parsley and squeeze lemon juice over it
Serve 6 to 8 portions.
