Salt and black pepper to taste

Season the fish with salt and black pepper, then let it rest for an hour
Cut the onions into thin slices and transfer them to a greased baking dish
Create a layer with half of the onions and place the fish on top
Cover the fish with the remaining onions and drizzle with white wine
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a medium-hot oven for 20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through
Serve immediately.
