Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
Add the garlic and Calabrian pepper flakes and cook until golden brown
Remove from heat
Add the tomatoes and return to low heat
Simmer for 15 minutes, covered
Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente
Drain and reserve
To serve, combine with the hot sauce and sprinkle with parsley
