4 halves of warm pear
2 tablespoons (of-a-churn) of rum
1/4 cup freshly whipped or canned cream, minus the serum
5 ounces of melted semisweet chocolate
4 scoops of sorbet
2 maraschino cherries

Place one half of pear in each dish
Douse with rum
Whip the cream if it's fresh and mix with the melted chocolate
Arrange two small scoops of sorbet over the pear and cover with the cream and chocolate mixture
Garnish with a cherry
Serve immediately
