2 cups half-and-half
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Warm the milk in a water bath
Beat the eggs until they foam
Add the vanilla, salt, and cinnamon
Stir well
Gradually add the warm milk and mix thoroughly
Pour into individual molds
Dust with cinnamon to taste
Bake in a slow oven for 1 hour or until a knife inserted halfway comes out clean
Serve chilled
Serves 5-6 adults, 1-2 servings per child
