Preheat the oven to low heat (120°F)
Spread butter or margarine on the peach slices, and then the orange gelato
Grease a refrigerator-safe dish with capacity for 6 cups
Cut the peaches into cubes and arrange them in the dish
Separately, mix the eggs with milk, lime juice, and nutmeg, and pour this mixture over the peach cubes
Bake for 45 minutes, or until firm
Serve warm or cold, simple or with whipped heavy cream
