Mix together the flour, salt, eggs, and 1/4 cup of milk to create a batter
Beat well until it foams, adding in the remaining milk slowly
Cover the batter and let it rest for 1/2 hour
Place the batter in a greased oven-proof dish
Bake in a hot oven
The batter should rise during the first 30 minutes and then only dry slightly
Cut into slices and serve with roast beef
If desired, brush with gravy before serving.
