1 1/4 cups of unsalted butter or margarine
1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

For the first layer: In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of unsalted butter or margarine and the semisweet chocolate chips
Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Add crushed graham crackers and mix well
Press into the bottom of a 30x20cm baking dish that has not been greased
Place in the freezer while preparing the next layer
For the middle layer: Melt an additional 1/2 cup of unsalted butter or margarine
In a small bowl, combine melted butter with peppermint extract and remaining all-purpose flour
Beat well
Spread over the first layer
Place in the freezer while preparing the final layer
For the final layer: In a saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter or margarine with chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth
Spread over the peppermint layer
Place in the refrigerator to chill
Cut into squares and store in the refrigerator.
