1/2 cup of butter or margarine
60g of bittersweet chocolate
2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of all-purpose flour sifted
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of chopped nuts or hazelnuts
1 tablespoon of grated orange zest
3 tablespoons of orange juice

Melt the butter or margarine, chocolate, and butter in a small saucepan over low heat
Beat the eggs and gradually add sugar while beating continuously
Add the chocolate mixture and beat vigorously for 1 minute
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt and add to the previous mixture
Mix well and add the chopped nuts or hazelnuts, orange zest, and juice, and mix thoroughly
Pour this batter into a 33cm x 22cm greased cake pan and bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for about 50 minutes
Cut into quadratino shapes
Yield: 24 quadratinos.
