Cut the coconuts into small pieces
Simmer the sugar with water to make a syrup
Add the lime and then coconut in small, well-mixed pieces until you get an orange-colored mixture that forms a crust on the sides of the pan
Moisten a work surface and spread out the mounds so they're all the same size
Place them in aluminum foil molds and bake in a hot oven until golden brown
If desired, bake the coconut custard tarts in mold shapes.
