8 thin slices of French toast, toasted

Preheat the oven to 250°C (450°F)
Whisk together milk, egg, sugar, and butter
Heat it over low heat until warm
Dip a slice of French toast in the mixture and coat both sides
Place it on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet
Cover with another slice and repeat with remaining bread and jelly
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
If desired, broil for the last 5 minutes to caramelize
Serve warm, cut into 4 portions.
