4 onions, sliced into rounds
3/4 cup of water
Salt and black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to low heat with the lid on
Cook until the onion is soft
Remove from heat and let cool slightly
Blend in a blender until smooth
Return to heat and cook until the liquid evaporates and thickens slightly
Serve 6 servings.
