1 medium red cabbage, shredded

1 tablespoon of sugar

Wash and chop the cabbage
Core, remove seeds, and cut the pickled vinegar
Melt the butter and mix with the cabbage and pickled vinegar, stirring well
Add the bay leaf, salt, and pepper
Cover and simmer over low heat for approximately 10 minutes
Add the wine, vinegar, and sugar, stirring well
Simmer for an additional approximately 30 minutes
Serve in 4-6 portions.
