1 cup of scalded milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of butter
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
2 tablets of baking powder
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of melted butter
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon of coffee
crystal sugar

Combine the milk, sugar, butter, and salt in a blender cup
Let it rest
Add the baking powder, cover, and blend for a few seconds
Add the eggs and all-purpose flour
Blend until smooth
Transfer the remaining flour to a bowl
Mix in the liquid mixture and knead until the dough is elastic and smooth
Form into a ball
Brush with melted butter
Cover and let it rise in a protected area for 1 hour
Lower the dough, shape into desired shapes or a roll
Place on greased baking sheet and let it rise for another hour
Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with crystal sugar
Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for about 40 minutes or until golden brown
Cut into 20 slices.
