Step 1: Soak the black-eyed peas in water for one day and a half
During the same period, soak the cod in water, changing the water from time to time to remove excess salt
Cook the black-eyed peas in a pressure cooker with clean water for about 15 minutes or until they are al dente
Step 2: Cook the cod in a regular pan with clean water for 15 minutes
When cooled, remove the bones and flake it
Step 3: Drain the cooking liquid from the black-eyed peas and combine them with the cooked cod while still warm
