Peel the cucumbers, leaving a little bit of green at the top
Score the cucumbers with a fork
Cut into thin slices and sprinkle with a pinch of salt
Let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours
Drain well and press to remove all excess liquid
Mix in the vinegar, water, garlic, and pepper
Pour over the cucumbers
Refrigerate until serving
Serve only when needed
