1 large and ripe avocado

Peel the avocado and cut it in half
Remove the pit
Cut the avocado into pieces
Combine the avocado with 1 cup of chicken broth, curry powder, salt, and pepper in a blender, then blend until smooth
Pour the mixture into a saucepan, add the remaining broth, and heat while stirring until simmering
Remove from heat and let cool
Stir in heavy cream and refrigerate
Serve chilled, garnishing each bowl with a slice of avocado dipped in lime juice, to prevent loss of color
