Butter (for greasing)
8 slices of bread (220g)
1/2 cup milk (120ml)
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons salt
4 eggs
220g ham, cut into slices
150g cheddar cheese, cut into slices
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (55g)
2 medium tomatoes (240g), cut into wedges

Grease a 21cm square baking dish with butter
Place half of the bread at the bottom and reserve
In a medium bowl, mix together milk, nutmeg, half of the salt, and eggs
Moisten the bread in the baking dish with some of that mixture
Top with ham, cheddar cheese, and remaining bread slices
Pour over the egg mixture and top with Parmesan cheese
Bake in a medium oven until the sandwich is firm (around 10 minutes)
Arrange tomato on top, sprinkle with remaining salt, and serve
