1 tablespoon of room temperature butter
1 thin slice of prosciutto cut to the size of the bread (or fish, cheese or beef substitute)
black pepper to taste

Slice the bread crust off
Place the slice on a clean cloth, roll it up and let it rest for 5-10 minutes to become pliable
Unroll, spread with butter and cover with prosciutto (or chosen filling)
Lightly sprinkle with black pepper
Roll it up carefully along its length without using the cloth
Wrap well in aluminum foil and refrigerate until chilled
Remove the foil, slice into 1 cm thick pieces and arrange on a platter
Serve 10 slices.
