12 clean sardines

Heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until softened
Add the tomato puree, lemon juice, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper
Simmer until the sauce thickens
Remove from heat and let it rest
Dip the sardines in the olive oil and arrange them in a single layer in a baking dish
Pour the tomato sauce over the top
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at high temperature for approximately 15 minutes
Let it cool and refrigerate for two hours before serving.
