For the first layer:
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 cup of coconut milk
1/3 cup of sugar
5 tablespoons of cornstarch
For the second layer:
2 cups of orange juice
3 envelopes of unsweetened white gelatin
1/4 cup of sugar
For the syrup:
4 oranges, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water

In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and sugar
Gradually add in the milk and coconut milk, stirring constantly
Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously, until thickened and boiling
Remove from heat and pour into a 9-inch round mold that has been soaked in cold water
Allow to cool and refrigerate
Prepare the second layer by combining the orange juice and gelatin in a saucepan
Stir well
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is dissolved
Remove from heat and stir in the sugar
Pour over the cooled first layer
Return to refrigerator until firm, then unmold and serve with the syrup
For the syrup, combine the sugar and water in a saucepan
Heat over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar
When thickened, remove from heat and add the sliced oranges
Allow to cool and refrigerate.
