Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar into warm milk and sprinkle with fresh baking powder, crumbled

Sift flour with the remaining sugar and salt
In a medium bowl, lightly beat oil with eggs and rum
Add the yeast mixture and mix well
Combine with the flour mixture and mix until you get a light batter

On a flat surface dusted with flour, roll out the dough to 1.5 cm thickness
Cut into 5.5 cm wide rounds
Place 1 tablespoon of gelato on one round and cover with another round of dough, pressing firmly
Let it rest in a protected place until it doubles in volume, for about 15 minutes
In a hot pan, add oil and cook the dreams for 3 minutes, flipping them to brown on the other side
Drain on paper towels
Dust warm with confectioner's sugar
