2 slices of bacon cut into small pieces

3 cups of sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 cups of water
1 cup of raw carrots, peeled and grated
2 tablespoons of salt
1 pinch of black pepper
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
3 cups of milk

Cook the bacon in a pot until crispy
Remove the bacon
Add the onion to the same pot and cook until softened
Add the sweet potatoes, water, and carrots
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender
Add the seasonings
Whisk together the flour and a little milk, then add to the hot mixture and stir until thickened
Add the remaining milk and bring to a simmer
Season with crispy bacon pieces
Serve warm.
