Brown the onions and garlic in butter or margarine over medium heat in a large pot, stirring occasionally, until they are softened
Add the tomato puree, broth, and let it simmer for 30 minutes with the lid on
Tame and cook slowly for 30 minutes
Add the parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste
Pour the soup into warm bowls and garnish each one with a little yogurt
Serves 8 people.
