Melt the oil in a soup pot
Sauté the onion
Add the flour and stir well
Add the beef broth and bring to a boil; cook for 2 minutes
Add the remaining ingredients and let it simmer slowly for an hour
Strain through a sieve and serve hot
Serve 6 portions.
