3 cans of snap pea soup or 2 packets of snap pea soup
1 can of water (use a can as a measuring cup)
1 can of beer
2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of butter or margarine
1 medium-sized garlic clove, minced
3 cups of black pepper, cubed

Place the cans of soup in a pot and stir well
Add the water and beer gradually, stirring constantly
If you prefer packet soup, add 1 cup of water unless specified on each packet
Let it simmer at low heat for a few minutes
Add the cheese and stir until melted
In a frying pan, sauté the garlic in butter or margarine
Add the black pepper cubes and fry, stirring constantly, until the pepper is golden brown
Serve the soup with the pepper.
