2 1/2 cups of black beans, mulatinho or rosinha
3 liters of water
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup of oil
salt and black pepper to taste

Let the black beans soak overnight
Drain and place them in a common or pressure cooker with 2 liters of water
Bring to a boil and cook
When the black beans are cooked, remove from the pot with a skimmer and reserve the cooking liquid
In a frying pan, fry the garlic in oil
Add the black beans and simmer well, stirring constantly
Blend the black beans in a blender with the cooking liquid
Place in a pot and add another liter of water
Season to taste with salt and black pepper and serve very hot
Serves 4 to 6 people.
