1 clove of garlic, pressed
2 medium onions, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 3/4 cup of biscuit, soaked in broth for 4 cups of water, with a 1-day advance
3 cups of chicken stock
1 large potato, cut into cubes
1/3 cup of cooked ham, cut into cubes
250g of Italian sausage, sliced thinly
Salt and Italian seasoning to taste

Sauté the garlic, onions, and pepper in oil for about 5 minutes, until they start to brown
Add the biscuit, with the broth that was left over, chicken stock, and an additional 3 cups of water
Simmer on medium heat for about 1 hour, or until the biscuit is tender
Add the potato, ham, and Italian sausage
Season with salt and Italian seasoning
Simmer for 30 minutes, or until the potato is tender
Serve hot
Note: If desired, substitute Italian sausage with Portuguese-style sausage.
