Parmesan cheese, grated

Melt the butter and combine with flour, salt, nutmeg, and pepper
Add all milk at once
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles
Cook for an additional 2 minutes
Add asparagus and cheese
Stir until cheese has melted
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
Serve in 6 portions.
