Slowly heat the orange juice in a saucepan with a little grated orange peel and ginger
Stir well and do not let it boil
Add the strawberries and let the saucepan simmer on very low heat
Pour in the whiskey or bourbon
Let it warm up slightly
Place the ice cream firmly, well frozen, on a plate
Spoon the mixture from the saucepan over the top and set aflame
Serve immediately, with the plate ablaze.
