Reserve some whole strawberries for garnishing
Cut the remaining strawberries in half, mix with rum or liqueur, add confectioner's sugar, cover and let it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours
A bit before serving, soften the ice cream, but do not let it melt
Mix the ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries, and serve in pre-cooled glasses
Garnish with reserved whole strawberries
