3 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
5 to 6 fresh and ripe pineapples, or canned and drained
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of orange liqueur

Combine the water and sugar in a pot
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves
Let it simmer without stirring for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool
If using fresh pineapples, peel and chop them into chunks
Blend in a blender until smooth (should yield 3 cups)
Pour into a bowl, add cold water, lemon juice, and orange liqueur, and mix well
Chill, pour into an ice tray or mold of your preference, and freeze
