300g frozen puff pastry
3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
4 tablespoons of wheat flour
1 cup of warm milk
250g fresh grated cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of finely chopped green onion
2 tablespoons of melted butter or margarine
Salt and black pepper to taste
300g frozen puff pastry

Preheat the oven hot (400°F)
Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the butter or margarine and mix with the wheat flour
Cook over low heat for 5 minutes
Remove from heat and add warm milk, stirring well
If it becomes too thick, blend in a blender
Return the saucepan to low heat for another 3 minutes, stirring until thickened
Remove from heat
Add the cheese, parsley, and green onion
Season to taste
Let cool
Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 25cm x 20 cm
Brush with melted butter
Spread the filling in the center of the pastry, lengthwise
Fold the two edges over
Brush again with melted butter
Place in a baking dish and bake in a hot oven for 40 minutes, until golden.
