Preheat the oven to a low temperature
Beat the egg whites until stiff and add the sugar
Beat again, until firm peaks form
Check if it's ready by lifting the whisk
The meringue must not fall
Never overbeat the egg whites or they will become too dry
Add the vanilla extract and yeast and mix well
Line a baking dish with parchment paper
Shape small mountains of dough using a piping bag or a spoon
Place a half nut on top of each mound, then cover with more dough
Put in the oven, with the door slightly open, until the sighs are lightly golden (about 2 hours).
