Tacos are a type of Mexican flatbread, very popular in Brazilian cuisine:
For the tacos
3 eggs
2 2/3 cups milk
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 dash salt
oil or grease for frying
Filling
250g ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
to taste pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
500g ground beef
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 minced garlic clove
1 pinch salt
1 cup chopped lettuce

Filling
250g ground beef

1 can crushed tomatoes
1 minced garlic clove
1 pinch salt
1 cup chopped lettuce
Prepare the tacos as follows: In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and milk until well combined
Add the flour, butter, and salt and continue beating to obtain a smooth mixture
Refrigerate for 2 hours
Heat a skillet about 25cm in diameter
Lightly grease with oil and add 1/3 cup of the dough
Tilt the skillet from side to side to spread the dough
Cook for 1 or 2 minutes until the bottom is browned
With a spatula, flip and let the other side brown
Keep warm
For the filling: fry the beef without bones until browned
Push the beef to one side of the skillet
Add the onion, bell pepper, and cook in the same fat as the beef until the onion is golden
Add the ground beef and cook stirring frequently until browned
Add the pepper and oregano and cook for 5 minutes more
In a small pan, combine crushed tomatoes, garlic, salt, and pepper
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes or until the liquid reduces
Place 1/4 cup of the meat mixture on a taco
Cover with 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, sprinkle with cheese, and add some lettuce
Fold in half and serve immediately
Make 18 tacos.
