1 In a large pot, bring 6 quarts of water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer
Add 2 tablespoons of salt and let it simmer again
Add the fettuccine noodles in batches, stir, and cook until al dente

In a skillet, combine olive oil, garlic, and black pepper
