4 cups fresh spinach leaves, chopped

Rinse the spinach leaves and pat them dry with paper towels
In a large skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until softened
Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice
Cook until the spinach is tender, about 20-30 minutes
Stir in the crispy bacon strips and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes
Serve hot.
