Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half
Mix the butter and sugar in a 30x20 cm aluminum dish
Place the mixture on the grill, about 12.5 cm above the flames, stirring constantly until it turns lightly golden
Add the tomato halves with the cut side facing down
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Let it sit on the grill for 5 minutes
Using a spatula, flip the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes or until they are tender but still retain their shape
Serve the tomatoes covered with the pan sauce; these tomatoes pair really well with grilled fish.
