1 1/2 cups pork cracklings

Fry the pork cracklings and water until it reaches a boil point
Let it cool slightly, then add the butter or margarine and ground almonds
Beat the egg whites until stiff
Add the egg yolks and beat well
Gradually add the warm syrup with the pork cracklings to the mixture while it's still warm
Sift the flour over the mixture and mix until all the flour is incorporated into the mixture
Pour into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown
Remove from oven
Dust with powdered sugar
Let it cool and cut into squares.
